Sitting in the Brand & Content team, my work straddled content, PR, and branding. Utilising an in-depth knowledge of (re)insurance and the London Market, my job was to demonstrate value, expertise and market-leading insight and understanding as we looked to differentiate ourselves as the foremost (re)insurance brokerage in the world.

From new towers and product launches and 1.1 renewal comms to guest articles and thought leadership, I produced 1000s of words of high-quality content every month. On the brand side, I’ve written cultural pieces around DEI, as well as historical articles. I assisted with PR, doing press releases and launch, acquisition and expansion comms. I also delved into customer communications; personalising ads to specific industry and insurance lines, such as Solicitors Indemnity insurance adverts, brochures for Climate Risk professionals and copy for BOFU comms.

Working in a highly regulated and complex industry gives you a chance to weave magic within the guidelines set out by Consumer Duty and other financial industry protections, making each asset you create, from emails to webpages, work as hard as it should.

I also helped create a monthly content email newsletter, “The Content Drop”, which showcases the work completed by the wider team over the last month. Based around key messages, work and projects, it contained exemplary work that can be utilised by regional teams around the business, showing the depth of quality, thought-leadership and business acumen of our brand team.

This was also one of the several jobs in which I’ve been part in large brand overhauls – including upskilling team members and working on improving style, writing and comms as we rebranded.

I completed a lot of assignments for the Climate Risk and Resilience team, leaning into the cutting edge of insurance, insurtech and making a difference.
