Here’s a selection of some of the brand work I wrote at LSBU. As part of a complete rebranding under the title of “RISE”, I worked on some public facing slogans that really captured the thinking of what we we’re doing – empowering new students to be strong, powerful and inspired through our teaching, as well as being part of a vibrant south London community.

Pretty much everything written during my time at LSBU came through our team, be it social media, marketing copy or website stuff. Here’s an excerpt of the sustainability section I wrote. I led the campaign on refocussing our sustainability goals, ensuring we were sharing our goals, aims and passion in a truthful way. (It’s still live if you want to read it.)

SEO
As part of my content and website management functions, I was in charge of overlooking SEO for the main university website. This includes performing regular SEO audits, on-page SEO and upskilling other workers on best practice.
It also concerned different projects, such as the Sustainability one above. Part of my research would include user journeys and long-tail keywords (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Siteimprove) to inform website content. Creating strong keyword-driven content, good linking and website structure was essential to high-performing content.
Social media
I managed the social media accounts with a small team in lieu of a dedicated social media manager. I ensured good linking and a content strategy to maintain best use and performance of our content.
